Color Fusers--March 2026!

Welcome to our Color Fusers Blog Hop for March! We are so happy you are here! This month we have been creating projects with Lemon Lime Twist, Granny Apple Green and Berry Burst.

I just got a new stamp set, Fragrant Layers, and I thought it would be perfect for this project. I also wanted to add in the ticket die from the Boardwalk Fun dies.

I am really happy with how this project turned out. I started with a card base of Granny Apple Green. My layer is Basic White cut to 3 3/4x5.

I used Lemon Lime Twist and a Blending Brush to add a layer of color to rest behind the floral image. I used a Dark Granny Apple Green Blend to flick some color over top of that. I think it adds a bit of depth to the design.

I used my favourite colouring technique, that I have named ‘Lazy Watercoloring’. You simply smash your ink colours of choice onto a block and use a Water Painte4 to layer on the color by adding water to the ink and painting. I like to do a light wash of color first and then go back and add in some darker color. I used Berry Burst for the flowers and Lemon Lime Twist for the leaves.

It's FAST and makes me feel like I have some artistic talent! Behind the image I added some Crumb Cake Twine. I added a Berry Burst ‘ticket’ cut from the Boardwalk Fun dies. I cut it into two pieces so I could tuck each end on either side of the floral image.

I stamped a couple extra leaves on Granny Apple Green card stock to expand the floral image.

I decided I wanted the sentiment to pop so I embossed it with White Embossing Powder on some Basic Black card stock and added it to the floral with Dimensionals.

A few gems from the Pearlized Faceted Circles (my favourite embellishment of the moment!) made this card complete. I am so happy with it and plan to recreate it using a variety of different color combos!

We are welcoming to the Hop this month my fellow Artisan Alumni, Tatiana Tobin. I love everything she makes! You can also go backwards too see what Bonnie has designed—she is a seasoned stamping vet and blog hop contributor!

Color Fusers--February 2026!

I am so happy to be back on the Color Fusers Design Team! I took a little hiatus for personal reasons and now I am committed to creating and hopping along with this awesome group on the first Monday of each month.

We use a color challenge each month to inspire us and I was really excited about the February color scheme—Fresh Freesia, Bubble Bath and Balmy Blue.

I knew immediately that I wanted to create something using the Beach Time stamp set.

I started blending a section on my Basic White with Bubble Bath ink and then stamped some of the star fish from the Beach Time stamp set over top. I finished this step off by flicking my dark Bubble Bath Stampin’ Blend over top.

I used one of the Lovely Doilies as an accent piece. The doilies come in Real Red and Bubble Bath and the backsides are white. I used this side with Fresh Freesia ink and a Blending Brush to create a custom doily.

The sentiment is stamped in Fresh Freesia and is layered on a coordinating circle. In between the layers I added the new Balmy Blue Gingham Ribbon that I cut into half before adding it behind my sentiment.

The Balmy Blue ticket die is from the Boardwalk Fun die collection. I added it along with a puffy sticker from the Beach Boardwalk Puffy sticker collection as accents to my sentiment. The puffy stickers also have some little coloured circles that I added along with a couple retired Bubble Bath gems. I also wanted to add the word ‘fun’ so clipped it apart from the rest of the sentiment.

This whole panel is set on top of some Balmy Blue card stock and then mounted on a Basic White card base.

I really love how this card turned out and it inspired me to create a coordinating scrapbook page that I will share in a separate post.

This blog hop is full of some absolutely amazing designers which is why you need to make sure you hop all the way through. You can go backwards from me to see what Lou Kitzelman has designed. Just click the button below.

Color Fusers--September is Neutral!

Hi friends—can you believe it is officially the start of ‘Sweater Weather’? I actually love this time of year, I can’t help but appreciate a good cardigan! And I love crafting with fall colors, especially the one we are featuring this month—Crushed Curry, Crumb Cake and Pecan Pie.

I am really excited to see what everyone designs this month and I actually decided to create a CARD versus a scrapbook page! Although I love this card so much that I will probably use it as inspiration for a future page.

I started with a base of Crumb Cake card stock and stamped some leaves from the Caring Leaves stamp set in the opposing corners in the same ink. Caring Leaves is a well priced autumn stamp set that is a great addition to some of the other fall products.

My second layer is Pecan Pie that I ran through the Changing Leaves Hybrid Embossing Folder. I love how you see just a few leaves poking through on the sides for some added texture.

I used an easy technique to stamp the leaves on the Basic White layer. I inked up my stamp in Crushed Curry and then used a Dauber in Pecan Pie to to add a bit of color variation in the leaf.

You can use two colors or more to create a fun unique leaf design for your projects.

I really love how fun and simple this technique is and how can it make your projects feel unique as each time you stamp it will be different.

I stamped the leaf 3 times on the Basic White layer of my project and added a little spray of Pecan Pie ink over top.

I die cut a stitched circle in Crushed Curry to layer behind my sentiment. ‘You’re Simply the Best’ is from the Caring Leaves stamp set—I used Pecan Pie ink with Clear Embossing Powder to make it pop a bit on the Crumb Cake. I used one of my favorite ribbons behind, the Natural Polka Dot ribbon. I snipped the word ‘Autumn’ from the Choose Happy stamp set.

The adorable die cut leaves are from the More than Autumn Dies and are cut in the 3 colors we are featuring this month. A few of our new Gold Textured Adhesive Backed Dots. I think they will become a staple in my holiday crafting!

I can’t wait to see what the rest of the team designs this month! I am always inspired by what they make so please make sure to ‘hop’ all along so you don’t miss anything. Next up we have Melissa Kerman!

You can always go in reverse to Bonnie O’Neill as well. Either way will bring you around to our Design Team.

Here are the supplies that I used to make this card that are current as of this post. The Caring Leaves stamp set, More Than Autumn Dies and Gold Textured Dots will all be available to order once our Holiday Catalogue goes live!

Color Fusers--January 2024!

Welcome to 2024! It is hard to believe it is the start of an new crafty year, and of course a new year means NEW stamp sets, Designer Series Papers and color combinations!

This month our design team is creating projects with Parakeet Party, Daffodil Delight and Melon Mambo! What a bright cheery combo to kick of the new year!

I was in the mood to make a card this month and of course I knew I wanted to play around with a new stamp set. I decided to use the new Adoring Hearts Bundle to design my project.

I started with a base and first layer of Daffodil Delight. I also used this color over top of my sentiment. The Adoring Hearts stamp set has some really beautiful script fonts. I used my Blending Brush with Daffodil Delight lightly over top of the script and then took my Stampin’ Write Marker to trace over the script. It is a really easy way to help your sentiment come to life. The little heart beside the sentiment is from the Adoring Hearts Dies—-these dies are full of hearts!

The background of the card is actually my favorite aspect!

I stamped the large floral image from the set a few times using Memento Ink in the bottom right corner. I used my Melon Mambo and a Blending Brush over top of the flowers—this is a great way to create a ‘color halo’ over a stamped image. I did add some more color with my Melon Mambo blend, however I didn’t want the blooms to look perfect. Hence, the initial layer with the Blending Brush.

I colored the leaves with my Parakeet Party Blend and added a few little die cut sprigs.

I also flicked my Black Stampin’ Blend marker over the background of the card to take away the ‘white’.

Honestly, in my opinion, there isn’t a project that the Black & Very Vanilla Gingham ribbon can not make better! Haha! It looks great with everything, especially this card with a little black Baker’s Twine tied in a bow.

I hope you like this project are inspired to give the Adoring Hearts Bundle a try! It is so much more than just a ‘Valentine’s Set’ ! Don’t be fooled by that one sentiment in the set!

Up next on our Hop is Melissa Kerman! Melissa is actually the one who keeps us on in check each month, and I am grateful for her reminders and patience with us (we know who we are! hahaha!). I can’t wait to see what she has designed for her first project of 2024~

Color Fusers--March 2023

Hello friends—welcome to the Color Fusers Blog Hop! I am so excited about this month as I absolutely LOVE this color combo that we are creating with this month—Blushing Bride, Mint Macaron and Soft Seafoam!

I love the soft feel of these colors—they feel like spring and Easter and I thought they were absolutely perfect for a scrapbook page featuring one of our new Online Exclusive stamp sets—Irresistible Blooms.

The base of my page is Blushing Bride and then I layered Basic White on top. I anchored most of the design on the top right of the page for something that feels a bit different but you could easily center everything in the middle of the page if you prefer that look.

I used a 6x6 piece of Mint Macaron DSP from the Country Gingham collection to act as my large photo mat and to ground the picture. I decided to add gold accents to my design so along with a Mint Macaron photo mat, I added a layer of the Fine Shimmer Paper. If you have not ordered this paper yet—you NEED to #addtocart! Its absolutely AMAZING!

I knew I wanted to use the new Irresistible Blooms bundle on my page so I decided to stamp the 2 blooms from the stamp set with Whisper White ink and embossing powder. I then used my Blending Brushes to add Blushing Bride ink to the flowers for an emboss resist technique.

I did the same technique with the leaves using both Soft Seafoam and Mint Macaron.

I also pulled out an old favorite die, Scallop Contours, for the amazing stitched scallop border die. I thought it was a the perfect accent piece to run underneath the DSP layer.

You can actually create quite a bit of depth and tones of ink by just using an ink pad and Blending Brush!

One of the best parts of the Irresistible Blooms dies is the dotted circle wreath (for a lack of what else to call this). When you die cut it on a square of paper it is actually still connected to the paper, but with a few snips with my Paper Snips I was able to free it to add a really fun wreath accent to my design. For my page, I wanted this to blend softly into the design so I decided to cut it out with Vellum.

This picture was taken when me and the kids went to see Reese play in a soccer tournament. These moments together are even more special since he went away to school 8 hours away.

There are two sentiments on my page—one is from Irresistible Blooms—I Like You and the other is from Happy Labels and I added some Gold Shimmer Ribbon underneath. The sequins are the Pastel Adhesive Backed Sequins and have been one of my favorite embellishments from the Occasions Catalogue.

I hope this project inspires you to create something amazing with this color palette! I can’t wait to see what the rest of the Color Fusers team has created this month. I am always inspired by them!

Next up on the Hop is Bonnie O’Neill— I know she has something amazing to share! You can go all the way through by visiting Bonnie next or go in reverse by clicking on Previous. This will take you to the talented Sue Vine!
