Feeling Tropical?

It snowed quite a bit here today in Edmonton, and the forcast is suggesting a massive dip in temperatures. Since I can’t run away on an airplane I will just have to settle with creating stuff with the Tropical Oasis Suite!

I created this page to help showcase the awesome, vintage inspired Designer Series Paper found in the new Mini (not so Mini) Occasions catalogue. You can find all the elements of the Suite on pages 39 and 40. It was actually quite a fast and simple page to put together that you could easily reproduce with all of the new Designers Series papers in the Mini catalogue by swapping out a few elements and embellishments! Maybe I will take my own advice and create something in the future!

In 2017 I was lucky enough to take Summer, who was 9 at the time, on the amazing Stampin’ Up! Incentive Trip to Phuket, Thailand. It was one of the most amazing experiences we have had together and I am forever grateful for the opportunity!

Thanks for the Laughs...

As soon as I saw this new stamp set, Thanks for the Laughs, I knew it would be on my very first order from the upcoming Handmade for You Mini Catalogue. It has some amazing friendship themed sentiments including this one, “No one will ever be as entertained by us as us”. I am sure we all have a girlfriend or two that this applies to! I combined this sentiment with the color palette, DSP and embellishments from the Birthday Bonanza suite—-when you see it in the catalogue you will be amazed! I have popped a few of these in the mail which will be an happy and unexpected surprise in my friends mailboxes as it won’t be a Christmas card inside! And are those mini pompoms not the cutest! #everythingisbettermini

Feeling Tropical!

Well I doubt my Christmas wishes of being somewhere tropical for the holidays will happen, I can enjoy creating some tropical themed cards right? It is almost the next best thing! haha!

I created this card on a Grey Granite base and I used the new Tropical Oasis suite from the upcoming Handmade for You Mini Catalogue coming out in January. The rectangular panel is embossed with the Coastal Weave 3D Embossing Folder. I added in strips of the Tropical Oasis DSP for a bit of interest after stamping the background with an image from the Timeless Tropical stamp set. The main flower is coloured with the Stampin’ Blends in Mango Melody and Pumpkin Pie. There is a coordinating frame lit set, In the Tropics Dies, that I used to add in the two leaves. And I am totally loving the Braided Burlap Trim ribbon as well that I added under the embossed panel. I love this suite! I think it has so much potential and has an awesome color palette to work with too!

Bakers Box of tiny treats!

I am hosting an event and I wanted the stampers attending to create a really fun, bright, awesome project to GIVE AWAY! So I came up with this Bakers Box filled with 4 of the Mini Curvy Keepsakes Boxes. Each is uniquely decorated and contains a different type of Lindt chocolate. I used the Let it Snow DSP as my color pallet inspiration as I love the bright cheery colors of this paper.

Note that a strip of 12x12 paper is not enough to wrap all the way around the box, so I added a piece of Whisper White cardstock to complete the belly band. See the last photo!

I used the Tiny Keepsakes stamp set to embellish the tags and keepsake boxes. I love that the stamp set has 4 phrases so each could be used on box.

I love how this cute project turned out. You could even add a gift card underneath as a secret surprise!

Parisian Blossom Suite

I was so lucky to be asked to present at On Stage here in Edmonton in November! It feels like another life time ago when we consider this busy time of year! I was given the Parisian Blossoms suite to get crafty with. I created a bunch of cards and of course, scrapbook pages! This month I am going to share all of my creations with you. I created 18 cards and 4 pages…three of them are seen here below! Each page is made exclusively with products found in the suite (with the exception of the card stock). I tried to create soft pages as that is how the elements spoke to me. I really loved the Parisian Flourish 3D embossing folder and incorporated it on all three pages shown.
