A Card a Day in May-Day 14!!

Hello my friends! I hope you have been enjoying all of my card shares so far this month! This is a personal challenge for me to share A Card a Day in May! I have had an exciting month as I recently earned the Baltic Incentive Trip. I am a goal orientated person so now that I can check that off my list I can focus on fun creative things like this month long card sharing adventure!

One of my monthly card groups decided on a Wedding Swap theme so this is the card I have created to swap with them! My schedule is so tight that everything I make must serve a dual purpose!

I love the softness of this card as the color palette feels wedding like to me! My own wedding was a combo of 5 pastel colors so this is a little reminiscent of that!

Blushing Bride is my base and layer and I used the Beautiful Shapes dies to cut out a hexagon from the front panel. I then layed this back so that I could stamp the greenery shape from the Framed Occasions stamp set in Blushing Bride ink and flick my light Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blend. You can then discard this piece.

The sentiment is stamped inside this space on Basic White in Pale Papaya. The dotted ring around is a separate stamp in So Saffron ink.

I stamped the 3 larger flowers in Pale Papaya, Calypso Coral and Blushing Bride and hand trimmed them out.

The leaves and stem are stamped in Soft Succulent.

I really liked the idea of framing the sentiment with some florals and greenery. Adding a few our new Iridescent Pearls was the finishing touch! I hope you don’t overlook this stamp set in the new catalogue. I think it has tons of potential!

A Card a Day in May--Day 13!!

Today I am sharing a little In Color Inspiration with you! Each year when the new In Colors release I try and make a card design that I can repeat in each of the 5 colors. This year I also wanted to highlight the new coordinating 6x6 DSP stack into the design as well.

I would say my current favorite color out of the new In Colors is Tahitian Tide. It feels like a holiday or a gorgeous sky on a sunny day! I do love how great these colors look as a collection as well and all of the awesome coordinating options we have!

In this design you can see how I added the In Color Bakers Twine and some of the Matte Decorative Dots.

I used the Simply Fabulous stamp set to design my card. This set is being given to participants in my In Color Retreat at the end of this month so I am developing some inspiration for them!

I love how mixing and matching the DSP can give each card a unique look, however the elements are similar on each of the 5 cards.

I used the same sentiment on each card and it is stamped and die cut using the Stylish Shapes Dies. I then used a variety of greenery from the stamp set behind each sentiment. Stamping once full strength and then stamped off to create two tones using one ink pad. The same flower image is used on each card as well.

I hope you are enjoying playing with the 5 new In Colors! I think they are very bright and cheery! You can shop my store by clicking the button below! If you live in Canada and are looking for a demonstrator, please consider me so I can keep loving what I do!

A Card a Day in May--Day 12!!

I love love this fun card I have to share today! The sun is shining this morning and this card is just perfect for the feelings of happiness the sunshine brings!

Isn’t this Rays of Light stamp set the BEST! It was a must have for me as I can see myself using it for all kinds of fun backgrounds including the one behind this little squirrel from Nuts About You. Side note: so happy this little stamp set is carrying over! I had alot of fun creating with these squirrels and I am so happy to keep stamping with them!

I used my favorite coloring technique on the squirrel, ‘lazy watercoloring’! I used Soft Suede and Early Espresso along with a Water Painter to give my squirrel some color!

The grass is actually from the Palms Dies and are cut in Old Olive and Pear Pizzazz card stock and I added a little color to the tips with the coordinating ink and a Water Painter.

I trimmed the Rays of Light stamp set layer down a bit and added a panel of Basic White that I ran through the Stripes 3D folder for some texture.

The sentiment ‘Happy Birthday’ is stamped in Mango Melody and is die cut with the Stylish Shapes dies. I added some vanilla Baker’s Twine and Iridescent Pearl Basic Jewels as a cute little touch!

I think this card is an awesome mashup of different products in our new catalogue! Its has returning favorites plus some new items which is my fav way to craft!

A Card a Day in May--Day 11!

Hello friends! I really love my card share today as its so bright and cheery and features one of my favorite new stamp sets—Simply Fabulous! This set has great sentiments in a fun font and some super cute imagery to support!

I love the crisp background of this card that just lets our fabulous new In Color’s really shine on this card! The Basic White looks great on the Orchid Oasis card base.

The sentiment is stamped in Starry Sky and is die cut using the Stylish Shapes Dies (#addtocart) and raised up on a few Dimensionals. It is then brought to life with the fun flowers and greenery from the Simply Fabulous stamp set!

There is no hardware so to speak for this stamp set so you will have to hand trim out all of these images! I stamped a collection of little flowers in the new In Colors and the greenery all in Parakeet Party.

The little flowers look super cute with the Matte Decorative Dots added to the centers and are layered with Dimensionals to add some texture!

If you haven’t add the Simply Fabulous stamp set to your collection, I say #addtocart as it has so much potential! I know I will crafting with this alot!

Have a wonderful day my friends!

A Card a Day in May--Day 10!!

Hello everyone! Welcome back or thanks for stopping by if this is your first time! My card today featuring the Bokeh Technique that I recently shared as an Artisan Design Tip & Technique on the Stampin’ Up! Facebook page! If this technique inspires you I will take a look over there as I shared stamp by step instructions. Don’t be intimidated though! It is easier than it looks!

To create this fun technique you can use the Picture This Dies, Blending Brushes, a finger dauber, white craft ink and any other ink colors you choose. Alternately you can create a stencil using a window sheet and the Layering Circle dies.

For this sample I used Fresh Freesia as my card base and then I used the dies to add circles in the same ink color and Flirty Flamingo. I added smaller circles using the finger dauber. You just keep moving the die around to overlap circles and can fill in the empty spaces with the finger dauber. It is really easy to create the blur effect.

The sentiment is from the In Bloom stamp set and underneath is layered some White Frayed Ribbon and a couple of strips of DSP from the Sunshine & Rainbows paper (a recent Sale a bration item).

Remember to check out my full post of instructions on the Stampin’ Up! Facebook page!

You can find step by step instructions and photos to make this Bokeh Technique project over the Stampin’ Up! Facebook page at the start of March 2022!
