Curvy Keepsakes Cupcakes--Spooky Style!

At a recent Stampin’ event I co-hosted, Creative Day Getaway, in Calgary, a fellow demonstrator Jennifer Reynard used a cupcake stand to display some Christmas curvy keepsake boxes. I was inspired to use her idea to fill my spiderweb cupcake stand with Halloween curvy keepsake boxes! The mercury acetate boxes hold a tea light that will add a spooky glow when the lights are dimmed! I absolutely loved this idea and wanted to share it all with you. I wish I had a fancier photo but I think this gets the idea across! Happy creating!

Do you love Memories and More?

Have you crafted with Memories and More? If you have shied away from memory keeping, I truly encourage you to give this product line a chance. I scooped these retired Big Plans cards up on the Clearance Rack a few weeks back. I almost have regret that I didn’t order them when they were current product! I turned them into this AAAAMAZING mini Memories and More album! Here is my secret—-look at each panel like a card front. How would you design and embellish a card? I also put a lot of embellishments on the OUTSIDE of the pocket pages! want to be able to see and touch them when I flip the pages. Dimensionals work awesome to keep stuff stuck down. I love the color combo of these cards too. Calypso Coral, Pineapple Punch and Grey Granite were the perfect pairing for my album, which is my summer 2019 highlights album. I am offering this as all day stamping’ class on Saturday, Nov 23rd from 9:30-5. My stampin’ friends will come and create this album that holds at least 26 photos and has lots of sparkle as I embellished like crazy with rhinestones and Wink of Stella. I do have a couple spots left in this class, so if you are interested in more details please reach out to me! I hope this little snippet encourages you to give this product line a try!

Happy Wicked Halloween!

I absolutely LOVE to create Halloween projects every year. I have an impressive collection of things I make each year that I put in a Rubbermaid tote to save and decorate with. It is a walk down memory lane each time a new year rolls around. This year I had fun recreating a previous project—this cute curvy keepsake bat! The wings are simply a 2 inch circle cut in half that I snipped with a 1 inch circle to give the wings shape. The coffin boxes that Stampin’ Up! is offering this year will be an all time favourite of mine. I sacrificed the lid of a coffin to create a template that I can trace onto a variety of card stocks or Designer Series Paper to add to the coffin lid to give dimension. To create the ‘wicked’ I sponged Crushed Curry and Pumpkin Pie ink onto white card stock (to resemble candy corn) and then used the framelit to cut out the word. The pumpkin face came from the Harvest Hello’s stamp set (it is a keeper!) and the cutest touch is the little tiny bat. You can get the worlds cutest bat from the Every Season Punch pack. Almost all of these supplies can be found the Holiday Catalogue! I am sharing all of these in a kids class on October 21st! Sign up below if you want to bring the kids by to make these adorable Halloween treat!

Let it Snow!

Have we met? If so, you probably know that I don’t love winter! Haha! I mean I love things that happen in winter, like Christmas and my birthday, and Valentines day! I do love pretty snow and I try and get out to skate with my kids once a season. I think I was born on the wrong continent…I really should be living in the sunshine and heat 24-7 but its not how it is! So one of the ways I come to terms with my white reality is to create cute winter themed pages like this one! How adorable are these cute snowmen?

Hawkins is my bestie!

The dictionary defines bestie as a person’s best friend. I think Hawkins is one of my best friends. Friends bring you joy in its simplest form. Looking at Hawkins makes my heart happy. He deserves is own scrapbook pages don’t you think? Along with my life long goal of scrapbooking my kids (I say lifelong as I will never actually be finished as I will never be finished taking pictures) I am going to add scrapbooking my Frenchie to the list.

This picture of him was actually the perfect fit for this fall page! Here are some of the fun elements on this page—-copper re inker mixed with white embossing paste! I used the new _____stencils or masks from the Holiday catalogue to create this random background pattern. I created the leaves inking the leaf dies on the copper, gold and sliver Delicate ink pads and then running them through the Big Shot. These dies can work like a stamp. They are designed to emboss and cut at the same time which is pretty darn cool! And of course a little foil paper never hurt anyone, and they
